About Us

We exist to walk alongside foster youth, providing resources, opportunities, and support that help them feel seen, valued, and empowered.

Our Story

This is Me works to give kids in foster care an identity.  We want all kids to know that they are seen and heard. This is me provides yearbooks for kids in foster care to have proof that they DO exist and what they do matters! Whether it’s being in choir or band, an artist or an athlete, all kids deserve to have proof that they DO exist wherever (and the foster care system) takes them.

Along with yearbooks, This Is me ensures that kids get photos of the teams they are on. From volleyball photos to robotics club photos – we want kids to have mementos that are important to THEM.

This is Me also works with a talented pool of volunteer photographers trained on things like PTSD, trauma, and anxiety to work directly with foster care youth to provide senior photos.  Only 50% of kids in foster care graduate from High School – we want to make sure that their senior photos represent THEM and what they love.

ALL youth need to know that they matter and that they DO EXIST before and after their current foster placement.

We envision a world where every kid in foster care has a sense of pride and accomplishment.
